Bannaba Stays draws its name from an ancestral word once spoken by Panama’s first inhabitants—Bannabá, meaning “beyond” or “distant.” Misheard by colonizers as “abundance of fish,” it eventually became Panama. Today, Bannaba reclaims that origin to offer boutique stays in Panama that honor heritage locations, emotional hospitality, and curated experiences rooted in simplicity and soul. Each space is designed as a transformative travel refuge—more than a destination, it’s a return to what truly matters.
